30 Feet of 12" wide, 11oz/yd² (373g/m²), Unidirectional Fiberglass Cloth

The Gelcoater Multi Compatible Unidirectional Fiberglass is a premium quality fabric that is compatible with Polyester, Vinyl ester and Epoxy Resin Systems.  Unidirectional fabric is a great way to selectively reinforce in 1 specific direction as fibers in this style of cloth are run solely in a single direction and stitched together with polyester thread.  11 ounce unidirectional cloth quickly and economically adds superior strength to any project or repair requiring strength on 1 specific plane.   The yarn in unidirectional cloth is laid flat and stitched and therefore not crimped in any way adding even more tensile strength in the direction of the yarn (in this case the weft running at 90 degrees or width of the cloth).

Unidirectional fabric wets out fast and evenly to accelerate rolling and brushing.  The high quality of this fabric ensures uniform weight and construction minimizing the potential for air entrapment and weak areas in the laminate which helps produce stronger, smoother parts.

The Gelcoater unidirectional cloth has superior mechanical properties (modulous of elasticity) in the direction parallel to its yarn but would not be suitable for applications requiring reinforcement in multiple directions.
